Based in the New England Region of NSW, Anne Clarke makes her paintings with m any layers of successive pigments.

Objects from a collection gathered over many years, find their way eventually into her work.

She uses light as equally as much as form and colour in processing a work, highlighting or minimising it to advantage.

A keen observer too, leads to finding subjects that will engage her, as they can lead to many months to bring to completition.
